About Muso

At Muso, we’re creating a better local live music industry for artists. We’re the game changing app connecting artists who want to play gigs, with venues and events who want to book artists.

We want more live music. In more places. For more people. It’s simple - we want to create a world where live music is everywhere, in every bar, every house party and a part of every celebration.

We streamline the entire booking process using familiar and good-looking tech. We make it easy to book artists, and because of that we’re seeing venues from bars to cafes to restaurants all start doing live music. We already have 900 gigs on our system, with about 400 talented musicians and its growing rapidly. It’s epic.

Muso is half tech start-up, half music. We fuse growth mentality with the nuances of the industry and because of that, we work with the smartest people on both sides. We’re about to undertake a massive growth phase and we’re looking for founding members of our team to do that with.

We would be lying if we said this isn’t going to be a challenge. Be prepared to work in a high growth environment whilst navigating the music industry network. We work incredibly hard. Damn hard. But we believe in our mission. Luckily, we also love the industry, so we go to live events very often which makes things fun, but it’s the challenge that we love the most.

The Role: Sales Executive

We are looking for brilliant minds to really make an impact and help define Muso as a brand for
years to come. You will be a part of the founding Muso team you will help us build out and lead our sales team, have influence on the brand and culture, and help lead the sales team to becoming the machine that it needs to be.

If you want to be a part of building the inclusive and accessible music industry of the future… you need to apply for this job.

We are looking for the up-and-comers of Australia’s best salespeople. We want a 0 - 100 operator who doesn’t shy away from the breaking rules (within reason of course) and wants to genuinely help the local live music industry by bringing the country’s best venues onto Muso in the shortest period of time possible.

This is not your average sales role. This is sales meets start-up meets music industry, and because of that we combine traditional sales practises with quick moving start-up tactics. We do things very differently and want people who get excited about that.

We are looking for a mission-driven individual who has a constant urge to pick up the phone, to knock on that door and talk to the decision-maker. Someone with passion, resilience and persistence who works hard each day to make sure they continually find new ways to prospect so their leads never dry up. Someone who owns mistakes and celebrates victories… and most of all, is ready to stand back up and do it all again tomorrow.

Each salesperson will be responsible for their own portfolio of venues – from prospect to acquisition. Because of this you will be forming strong relationships with decision makers at all levels of the venue industry.

The Team

Up until this point, Muso has been the birthchild of it’s co-founders. We are non-conventional, quick movers who see challenges as opportunities and the status quo as the past. We operate in autonomy and prefer empowerment over micromanagement. We are a team of leaders who respect each other’s boundaries and come together in a one-team-one-dream kind of way. We make decisions quickly we execute those decisions quicker and then we slow down to analyse the impact. Then we do it again.
